My Lenten Promises


Today was the first day of Lent. The day before was shrove tuesday so we made pancakes. For lent I gave up playing on my ipad. Lent is about fasting, almsgiving and praying more. Lent gets us ready for Easter.

    you have made a very good Lenten promise. How are you finding not playing on your iPad?
    I have given up sugar! And chocolate is my favourite. Let's compare notes at easter and see how we have gone.
    Do you know how many days Jesus was in the dessert for before Easter?
    I think it is also a time for reflection and I am thinking about being grateful for what we do have.

      I am finding it hard not playing on my iPad. Your lenten promise sounds tricky. Jesus was in the desert for 40 days.
